Day 1 of Tri50's Triathlon Camp, May 2019
An action packed day for all assembled, 14 of us!
The day started at 8.00 am with an outdoor pool swim in wet suits, combined with a few drills and concentration on our Front Crawl stroke, necessary for competing at Triathlon.
Then off for a really hearty breakfast in the Resort Restaurant, so many food choices to delight every palate!
This was then followed up with our individual swim video analysis which I believe we all learnt a lot from watching each other's strokes- our good technical aspects and our not so good pointers!
After a few quiet hours of rest, a run session! First. a few Warm up drills and running techniques, and then into a 20 min run out along the sea front and back which was hot and pretty hard going, but enjoyable when I finally finished! Everyone was encouraged to run at their own individual pace.
Sandra then went through some Cool Down stretches to complete our run session.
A quick well deserved snack to keep the wolf from the door!
The day was rounded off with some open water drills and skills, and Team games, including water bottles and aqua sticks!
Great first day!
Thanks, Steph (Mrs Perfect, as I'm now known after my Swim
